E-Registration :

The E-Registration module is another welcome step towards attaining complete computerization of the VAT Administration systems in the Union Territory, Chandigarh.

The dealer submits the required information and the documents required for filing a new application for grant of the number through website. After submission through online mode, the file will go to particular Taxation Inspector (TI) of that particular ward and the applicant dealer will be informed about the meeting date for production of the original documents. Then taxation Inspector will check all the documents and after giving the remarks, submits that registration file to the ETO level .The ETO will recheck all the documents and if the documents are genuine and complete, the TIN will be issued to the dealer.

Getting Started:
Registration on the Website:
The dealer can create his profile by filling the basic information in the form.

Please Note:
1. This is a first big step towards creating the user account. It is requested that a valid email id and mobile number may be provided.
2. All the future communication shall be sent on these.

Validations:
1) The fields marked with (*) symbol should not be blank.
2) Mobile number should be numeric and shall contain maximum 10 digits.
3) Username should be unique because this is your login ID.
4) E-mail ID is mandatory because future communication will be done using this email address.
5) E-mail should be in correct format.
6) PAN no should be in correct format.

On click of the submit button, the e-mail containing username and system generated password will be sent to the given mail-id.This username and password shall be used to login in the e-Registration module and submission of the application.

Welcome Screen:
The welcome screen and the login credentials are shown to him on screen and sent by email and sms too.

Login:
Enter the username and system generated password (which was sent to you by e-mail and sms) in the Login page.

Validations:
1) Username and password are mandatory.
2) Username and password should be correct.

Dealer Registration Application Page:
This is used to register a dealer. There are four registration types available for the dealer.
1) VAT (Obligatory)
2) VAT (Voluntary)
3) TOT

Validations:
The following fields are mandatory to be filled by the user. i.e.
a) Registration Type
b) Trade Name
c) Address
d) Applicant Name , Area , Ward name, Date of application will be available automatically

Payment Details:
Through this form, the Dealer can enter the payment details.
1) Types of payment mode are Challan, online or Treasury.
2) Select payment under VAT or CST
3) Amount is automatically shown.
4) Enter Treasury Receipt number, payment date and select Bank name.
5) When we click the save button the record is saved and shown in table below and if you want to enter another detail for CST or VAT then you fill the details again and click on save button.
6) After the payment details are added, click the submit button and the page is redirected according to the registration type selected.

  1. I was trying for online registration of vat and CST. I managed to enter the registration fee detail etc. After submission when I was filling annexure 1 of vat, it automatically went into a login page with the message that your TIN has been set as your username and password, but actually I have not received any TIN. Now I am not able to login with my previous user name and password generated. Please help to resolve my problem.

    1. From the Website :

      On successful grant of the RCs by the Department, the dealer would be informed about his TIN number through SMS and mail on the registered ids. Along with, he would be given a new permanent username and password. To download his RCs, the dealer would login into the website etdut.gov.in after entering the given username and password. It is advised that the password be changed immediately after first entry.
