Motor Vehicle Registration :

A vehicle is not to be driven on the road without registration. A dealer will not handover the vehicle to the buyer without registration.

The buyer of the vehicle may apply in the prescribed application form (Form No.20) enclosing the following documents:
1. Form 19,20,21,22 and certificate confirming the residence (Copy of the Election Photo I.D./Passport.).

2. Form 60 for Three wheeler and four wheeler. (or) copy of PAN Card.

3. Fees for Registration will be Rs.60/- to Rs.600/- depending upon the category of vehicle.

4. Valid Insurance Cover note.

5. The Registration Certificate (RC book) can be collected from the counter after 10 days.

Fees for Registration of Motor Vehicle are detailed below.
1. Motor –cycle Rs.60/-
2. Invalid carriage. Rs.60/-
3. L.M.V. (car) Rs.200/-
4. L.P.V. Rs.300/-
5. M.M.V. Rs.400/-
6. H.M.V. or H.P.V Rs.600/-
7. Imported Motor Cycle Rs.200/-
8. Imported motor vehicle Rs.800/-

Change of Address in R.C.:
1. Applicant shall apply in Form 33 in duplicate proof for address to be produced.
2. Fees Rs.20,
3. R.C. book and I.C. has to be enclosed.
4. Current tax has to be paid.

Time required :
Time required to complete the service is 7 days

Endorsement of Hire Purchase /Hypothecation:
1. Applicant shall apply in Form 34 in duplicate.
2. Fees Rs. 100/-
3. R.C. book, I.C. has to be enclosed.
4. Current tax has to be paid.
5. Time required to complete the service is 7 days.

Termination of Hire Purchase /Hypothecation:
1. Application shall apply in Form 35 in duplicate.
2. Fees Rs.100/-
3. R.C. book, I.C. has to be enclosed.
4. Current tax has to be paid.
5. Time required to complete the service is 7 days.

Road Safety :
Road Safety deals with basic facts such as overtaking, traffic signals, towing, speed limits, the necessary documents to be carried while driving and other such neglected, but imperative points nonetheless.

Some rules to be followed while driving are :
1. Use proper approved seat belts
2. Look before you cross an Unmanned Railway Crossing
3. Dont allow children to play on the road.

4. Polluting vehicles are health hazard – take Pollution Under Control Certificate regularly.
5. Look both sides of the road before crossing it.
6. Keep safe distance between your vehicle and the one that is ahead of you.
