Obtain Learner’s Licence :

** Attested copies of the document Proving his/her address and his/her age as per rule no.4 of CMVR 1989.

** Two passport size photographs.
** Related Forms with the Certificate / Declaration of Medical Fitness as mentioned below :

Process For Obtaining Learner’s Licence of Non – Transport Vehicles If the Applicant is below the Age of 40 years:
Fill Form No. 1 (Declaration as to Medical Fitness)
Fill Form No. 2
Fees Payable : Rs. 30 for each class of vehicle. Rs. 10 for each test.
Timings : Fees will be accepted from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on all working days except Saturdays.
Biometrics : The entry of details including Bio-metrics of the applicant will be taken on every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM except Second Saturday.
Test : The test of competence will be conducted on every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. except second Saturday.
Disposal : Within Three working Days After Passing The Test.

Process For Obtaining Learner’s Licence In All Other Cases :
Fill Form No. 1-A (Medical Certificate duly signed by the Registered Medical Practitioner)
Fill Form No. 2
Applicant should have minimum qualification of 8th standard pass(Evidance should be available).
Fees Payable : Rs. 30 for each class of vehicle. Rs. 10 for each test.
Timings : Fees will be accepted from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on all working days except Saturdays.
Biometrics : The entry of details including Bio-metrics of the applicant will be taken on every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM except Second Saturday.
Test : The test of competence will be conducted on every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. except second Saturday.

Know How To Obtain Duplicate Driving Licence :
Process For Obtaining Duplicate Driving Licence :

** In case the original licence is found in future, the applicant should surrender the duplicate licence to the authority.

** Disposal : Within Six Days form the date of payment of such fee.
** Fees Prescribed : Rs. 200

Process To Change Residence :
** Form 33 along with an application for recording a change in the residence in the certificate of registration of a motor vehicle and certificate of registration, PUC, Insurance Certificate and proof of residence.

** Disposal : Within Three Days (Within Daman & Diu).
** Fees Payable : Rs. 20

The Transport Department is functioning under the various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 and Daman & Diu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.

Taxes are levied according to the provisions of the Goa, Daman & Diu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974, Goa, Daman & Diu Motor Vehicles Tax Rules, 1974, Goa, Daman & Diu Motor Vehicles Tax (Taxation on Passengers & Goods) Act, 1974 and Goa, Daman & Diu Motor Vehicles (Taxation on Passengers & Goods) Rules, 1975.

Transport Department provides various services like issue and renewal of driving licenses, grant and renewal of permits, registration of motor vehicle, grant and renewal of permits etc.
