BOCW Welfare Schemes

1.Ex-gratia Scheme :
In the event of death of a registered beneficiary, Rs. 2.00 lac is given only if it is a accidental death and Rs. 1.50 is given if it is a natural death.

In the event of complete (100%) disability Rs. 2.00 lac is given and in the event of partial disability of a registered beneficiary, the compensation under this scheme is proportionate to the disability of the beneficiary and it is equal to the percentage of the total compensation of Rs. 2.00 Lac.

2.Stipend Scheme:
For the Children of registered construction workers from 1st class to Degree courses along with Uniform allowance/Education allowance (books and stationery allowance). Minimum 2,800/- to Maximum 58,000/- Rupees are given under this scheme.

3.Shagun Scheme:
For the marriage of two daughters of the registered construction workers- Rs. 31000/- (amount of shagun) on the marriage of each daughter.

4.Scheme for funeral and last rites : Financial aid of Rs. 10,000/- for funeral & last rites on the eve of death of registered construction worker or his family member.

5.Pension Scheme: Under this scheme, a registered construction worker after Completion of 60 year’s age and 5 years’ membership, is entitled for minimum pension of Rs. 5000/- per annum and after completion of 20 years’ membership is entitled for maximum pension of Rs. 20000/- per annum.

6.Rashtriya Swasth Beema Yojna:
(RSBY Free Medical assistance)- Under this Scheme, a registered beneficiary and four other members of his family (Total five persons) can avail indoor treatment up to Rs. 50,000/- per family, per year.

7.Medical Health Insurance Scheme :
A scheme under which registered construction workers and their families can avail the health benefit upto Rs. 1.5 Lacs per year on family floater basis (for a group of 6 members of the family) is being launched with the help of Punjab Health System Corporation under the PSSBY of Punjab State .

8.Scheme For Dangerous Ailments:
Under this scheme an expenditure up to Rs. 1.00 Lac, incurred by the beneficiaries and their dependents for the treatment of dangerous ailments is reimbursed by the board.

9.Leave Travelling Concession:
Under this scheme a registered construction workers- can get Rs. 2000/- once in a period of two years.

10. Free Cycle :
Free cycle for the children of Registered Construction workers once during the period they study from 9th to 12th class in the State of Punjab and who are obtaining benefits under the Stipend Scheme of the Board.

11. Scheme For Spectacles, Denture and Hearing Aid :
Scheme for providing financial aid to the beneficiary & their families for spectacles Rs. 800/-, Denture Rs. 5,000/- & hearing aid Rs. 6,000/-.

12. Scheme for Skill Upgradation & Vocational Education for the registered construction workers & their Children.

13.Scheme For General Surgery:
Scheme for providing financial aid of Rs.20,000/- for General Surgery of the beneficiary and his dependents.

14. Scheme For Labour Sheds Cum Night Shelters:
Scheme for construction of Labour Sheds/ night shelters in the State of Punjab

15. Maternity Benefit:
Maternity Benefit scheme for registered female construction worker for birth of two children @ Rs. 5000/-. Under this Scheme the male construction worker will also be entitled to avail this financial for the birth of his two children.

16. Mobile Lab Scheme: – Mobile Lab Scheme for detection of Silicosis and other diseases at the initial stage of registered construction workers and their family members at stone-dust prone construction sites. Under this scheme, a team of medical experts will be visiting such construction sites along with Mobile Van fitted with X-ray machine, pyrography machine and medical lab to diagnose their disease at the early stage
