About Ration Card :
Ration Card means a document issued by the Food and Supplies Department, of a State to the beneficiary (residents of the State) for the purchase of essential commodities under the Public Distribution System from the fair price shop. It is a must for State Government to ensure that no eligible applicant is denied a ration card under the Public Distribution System.

Ration cards issuance is a very important process. The ration card issuance process is a time bound process and generally remains same throughout the country barring a few exceptions. In State the time frame for the issue of ration card to the beneficiary is kept at 15 days from the date of submission of application at the circle office/ Mandal Office.

1. How to change the browser settings to accept the enclosures?
** When you get this screen first add the epds.nic.in in the trusted sites list as shown below.
Note : Uncheck the “Require server verification (https) for all sites in this zone
** Click add

** Restart the browser once.
** Change the security settings by making the following option to “Prompt “
** Select the “Enable Protected Mode” under the security tab

** Try to submit the application again by filling all the details .It will show an alert
** Click on yes .Then the application gets submitted.

2. How To reduce the size of photo before upload.
** Right click the photo file, select open with, Microsoft Picture Manager
** Click edit pictures then click Compress Pictures
** Select E-mail messages and click Ok. Check the original and compressed size. See the size is around 30KB.

3. How to print a card by selecting “Ration Card->Print Modified Ration Cards as shown in the following screen.
** On clicking “Print Modified Ration Cards” the following screen will prompt for Ration Card number.
** On clicking “Print Report” after selecting “Preview”, following message may come.

** Click “Options for this site” and click “Always allow”
** On clicking “Always allow” the following screen will appear.
** Click “Retry” and card will be printed.

Features of Andhra Pradesh Ration Card

The Andhra Pradesh Ration Card is a document issued by the government of Andhra Pradesh to eligible households. It is a proof of identity and residence, and is required to avail of benefits under the Public Distribution System (PDS).

  4. My husbands native is Gudlur near kavali, but we are( me ,husband) in chennai now. We both are working here. My mother in law alone there , but previously we took aadhar card and voter id from ap.
    Now we are going to settle here. We dont have a permanent address at ap. We have own flat here. So tell me what we do now how we use our ration card there?
