e-Refund :

1.Enter User Id and Password.
2. Change Password if Logging in for the first time.

3. Click on the link Form 31A/ Form 33.
4. Fill the Application form and click the submit button.

5. If the application is successful,then it will be return to the home page displaying the Acknowledgement number and beside the Acknowledgement number the option of the print Acknowledgement is present.

6. To submit the associated annexures, with Form 31/33, you have to click the Acknowledgement number display in the home page, and after clicking it will be automatically redirected to the page where you can submit all the annexures Form 32 A/B/C etc by clicking the names displayed in the page.

7. The dealer can apply only after submission of physical return to the charge.

8. The dealer may apply for Pre-assessment refund for any period for any quarter within 3 months from the date of submission of such return or within such further time not exceeding four months from date of submission of return may be allowed.

9. The dealer is required to submit precribed documents online along with the application.

FAQs :
1. What is e-payment of Commercial Taxes ?
This is the facility provided to the dealer to make Commercial Tax payments online using net- banking facility.

2. Is it mandatory to pay Commercial Tax online ?
e-Payment is mandatory for the sales tax dealers whose annual tax payment are more than Rs.10 Lacs and for the registered employers whose annual payment of profession tax are more than Rs.30 thousands. Besides this, e-Payment can be made voluntarily also.

3. How do I know which bank is authorized to provide this facility ?
At present State Bank of India (SBI), United Bank of India (UBI), Central Bank of India (CBI), Allahabad Bank and Bank of Baroda are authorized to receive e-Payment of Commercial Taxes. Efforts are on to include more number of nationalized banks.

4. How can I use this facility to pay Commercial Taxes ?
You can use the facility if you have a bank account with net-banking facility in any of the above mentioned five banks. You have to go to the respective bank’s website and login for making payment by using the user-id and password given to you by your bank.

About Us :
The Directorate of Commercial Taxes, West Bengal is headed by the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes. Below the Commissioner, there are two Special Commissioners.

There are Additional Commissioners, Sr. Joint Commissioners, Joint Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Commercial Tax Officers and Assistant Commercial Tax Officers to assist the Commissioner.

Circles – State of West Bengal is divided into 16 Circles. A Circle is headed a Sr. Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes. He is supported by other Sr. Joint Commissioners and Joint Commissioners. They exercise administrative, appellate and revisional jurisdiction over the Charges under the Circles.
