Renewal Of Driving License

A license if valid for 20 years from the date of issue or till the license holders turns 50 years of age, whichever happens earlier. The driving license is required to be renewed after expiry of its validity.

Get a Renewal Driving Licence :
Office : Contact your Local Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) i.e. S.D.M.

Eligibility :
** Valid learner licence.
** You should be conversant about the vehicle systems, driving, traffic rules and regulations.

Document Required :
The documents required along with permanent driving license application form are as follows
** Original old License.
** Form No.9 (renewal of driving license) applicant photograph and completely fill with signature.
** Form No.1 (medical certificate) and blood group.
** Residential Certificate ( voter card/ passport/ telephone/electricity bill/ ration card etc attach any two attested copies
** Birth Certificate (Age) (Minimum age 18 years) (birth certificate issued by M.C., school certificate, PAN card and birth certificate issued from Civil Surgeon attach attested copies.)
** Self-declaration certificate.
** before renewal the license issued from Other authority NOC / conformation mandatory.
** Valid fees/service charge.

Procedure
After scrutiny of the documents, the applicant is put through the driving test. For driving test, the applicant has to bring his vehicle with him. He is tested for his driving skills, familiarization with the vehicle, traffic rules & regulations. The applicant is asked about the vehicle system and safety.

Timings :
For public dealing 9 :00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. General office timing 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Work Flow Process For Renewal Of Driving License :
** Applicant will collect the file, fill up the form and attach necessary documents as per the checklist.
** Go to District Inspector for Passing Driving Test
** IS TEST CLEARED Applicant goes to E-Disha Counter for preliminary scrutiny of Documents
** IS FILE OK Applicant goes to fee counter to pay the requisite fee for Driving License mApplicant goes to photo counter
** to get a photo After an average time period of 7 working days, new driving license will be issued
** Applicant goes to E-Disha Counter for preliminary scrutiny of Documents File is returned for completion of documents

Availability of Form. :
** Applicant can download the blank form (or can get a blank file), fill the form manually and will make a complete file.
** Applicant comes to E-Disha centre for getting a complete file i.e. through online filing.
** Applicant can get a complete file using Web enables services with their own Computer. Back End Process
