1.What is Dial.Gov?
Dial.Gov, also known asCommon Man’s Interface was conceptualized as an information delivery service for the common man, in order to provide information on government benefits available to various sections of society.

The objective is to create a direct flow of information to citizens about various schemes and welfare services provided by the Central and State Government, thus empowering the interested citizen to search for welfare benefits based on his/ her eligibility

2. Do I have to pay to get the information?
No. Availing information from Dial.Gov is a free of cost service provided by the Government of India.

3. Where else can I avail the information other than the Dial.Gov web portal?
Welfare scheme information could also be availed through: a. A call centre the user could call on 0120 3076200 b. An IVRS facility the user could call on 011 24300600 Normal call rates apply for calling on the mentioned numbers.

4. Will I be able to seek information on behalf of somebody?
No. Availing information from Dial.Gov is a free of cost service provided by the Government of India.

5. Will I be able to seek benefit information provided by the Government of India to groups of individuals?
At this time, the service is restricted to only provide individual benefit information.

6. I do not see all benefit schemes captured under the concerned benefit domain?
Dial.Gov is developed on a dynamic back-end platform and the scheme information is regularly updated. Usually, welfare scheme related information is frequently updated and edited by the Central and State Ministries / Departments.

While it is possible that information on a few schemes might not be available at a given time, our effort is to only include properly verified data that could be used by the common man.

7. I want to apply for availing a particular benefit. Can you help me do so?
At this time the service is only restricted to disseminating information on respective welfare schemes. To apply, you may refer to the detailed scheme guidelines which are available on the respective Ministry’s website or at www.dial.gov.in.

8. How does the search function work?
The Search function finds welfare scheme information related to the words or phrases you enter into the Search box. Capitalization is not considered by the Search function. Additionally, the quality of results depends heavily on the words that you use.

It is recommended that you vary your search terms as a different word or a phrase will return different search results.

9. How many questions will I have to answer before I get to know my entitlements?
At this time, the service is restricted to only provide individual benefit information.
