There is no fee for renewal. Renewal service is free.

Additional Simplified Procedure

There are two ways to renew your Employment Exchange Registration Card in Assam:

1. Offline Renewal Process:
** Visit the concerned Employment Exchange: Go to the Employment Exchange where you initially registered.
** Proceed to the Renewal Counter: Look for the designated “Renewal Counter” and approach the official there.
** Submit your documents: Provide your original Employment Exchange Registration Card and any other documents requested by the official (usually not required besides the card).
** Verification and Renewal: The official will verify your documents and renewal date, and if everything is in order, will renew your registration card.
** Receive your renewed card: You’ll receive the renewed card on the spot, usually printed or delivered via email.

2. Online Renewal Process:
** Visit the Sewa Setu Portal: Go to the “Re-registration of Registration Card of employment seeker in Employment Exchange” service on the Assam Sewa Setu portal: https://sewasetu.assam.gov.in/site/service-apply/re-registration-of-registration-card-of-employment-seeker-in-employment-exchange?lang=en
** Choose your registration method: Decide if you want to use Aadhaar-based registration (faster and preferred) or non-Aadhaar-based registration (applicable only if your Aadhaar is blocked).
** Fill and submit the application: Follow the instructions on the portal to fill the online application form with your details and submit it.
** Verification and renewal: Upon successful submission and document verification, your registration will be renewed and the renewed card will be sent to your registered email.

Important points:
** Renewal is required every three years in the due month mentioned on your existing card.
** There’s a grace period of three months after the expiry date for renewal.
** Both methods are free of statutory charges, but there might be convenience fees for online submission through CSCs or PFCs.
** For online renewal, ensure you have a valid email address linked to your registration.
