Registration &Renewal :
After qualifying the respective nursing program by the Nurse’, Midwives’, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives’ and Health Visitors have to register their name in the State Register as maintained by the council by paying prescribed fee to obtain Primary Registration to use exclusive title of Registered Nurse, Registered Midwives, Registered Auxiliary Nurses’ Midwives’ and Registered Health Visitors’.

Verification :
Verification of the documents are done as per Register maintained in the Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council for the purpose of candidates those who are seeking for employment or registration in other States.

Types of Inspection done by the Council :
1. First Inspection- for approval of the proposed Course/ program applied for.
2. Annual Inspection- for yearly validation/ renewal of the existing course.
3. Re-inspection- for seat enhancement etc
4. Sudden inspection- as desired for when necessary
Guideline For Setting Up Of A School Or Collegiate Program :
Step- 1 : Obtain NOC/ Essentiality certificate from the respective State Govt.
Step- 2 : After receiving the proposal from the Institution, INC will undertake first inspection.
Step- 3 : After receiving permission from INC to start program, next approval shall obtain from STATE Nursing Council & Examination Board/ University
Step- 4 : After taking approval from SNC/Examination Board/ University, institution will admit student
Step- 5 : INC conducts inspection every year till first batch completes.
Instruction For The Applicants :
1.Application form will be accepted only when it is enclosed with attested true copy of:
** Diploma/Degree Certificate of B.Sc. Nurses /ANM/GNM.
** B.Sc. Nurse/G.N.M/A.N.M registration certificate.
** Passport size photo with proper uniform duly attested and submit 2 copies without attested with standard size i.e. 3X4 cm2.
** H.S.L.C. Admit Card.
** Identity Card with proper home address. (Office I-Card with validity/Voter ID/DL/Aadhar Card/Indian Passport/Bank passbook etc..needed anyone of it)
** CNE Certificate/ Attended Seminar/ Conference/Scientific Paper Presentation/Publication /Training are to be enclosed if any forcredit points.
2.Application form, completed in all respects, should be sent to the Registrar, Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council, Six Mile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 along with registration fee of ` 200/-
3.Payment should be made through demand draft in favour of ” Registrar, Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council” payableat “Guwahati” in any Nationalised Bank of India and its is mandatory to write “Name, Address, Phone No and E-mail ID ” on the back side of the Bank draft.
4.The Certificates are to be received only by the applicant.
